CoinPoker Schedules Four $1 Million CoinMillions for September GOPC
The Sunday run comes with a higher player cap, fresh satellites and the broader $50 million series behind it.
CoinPoker has lined up four CoinMillion tournaments for every Sunday in September as part of the Global Online Poker Championship, with each edition carrying a $1 million guarantee. The dates on the schedule are Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27. CoinPoker’s own tournament page says the next CoinMillion starts Sept. 6, costs $215 to enter and runs as a two-day monthly flagship event.
As reported on Aug. 17, CoinPoker had already said CoinMillion would run on every Sunday in September, with the Sept. 6 event as the fourth edition. The schedule confirms that full Sunday lineup.
CoinPoker also said the CoinMillion unique-player cap will rise from 4,000 to 6,000 beginning with the next edition after the Aug. 10 August Edition. That August running drew 3,856 entries, finished with a three-way deal among PuraSuerte69, ImpinadordeKombi and KingTurnJester, and left PuraSuerte69 with $80,741. CoinPoker described that event as the third CoinMillion and said it was nearing its unique-player cap for the first time.
The September CoinMillions sit inside the broader GOPC, which runs from Aug. 23 to Sept. 28 and guarantees $50 million in prizes. NY Sports Day said the series uses schedules tuned for Europe, Latin America and Asia, while CoinPoker says the Sunday CoinMillion events are Medal Events that come with a GOPC Gold Medal and a spot in the CoinMillion Hall of Champions. Satellites will appear in the lobby ahead of the events and continue through September, with direct-to-ticket options starting at $5.50 and free Step satellites also available. The September winners will each earn the usual CoinMillion trophy, plus their place in the Hall of Champions.
