- Eligible players qualify through specified Ace Chase leaderboard windows before a Discord draw selects two entrants.
PokerStars will stage two livestreamed no-limit hold’em cash-game sessions under its Ace Chase promotion on Nov. 6 and Nov. 21. The 90-minute games will run at $1.50/$3, giving selected players a direct seat against six named players.
The sessions are called “Ace Chase Mission: The Sleeper Agent,” according to Poker.org. Ben “Spraggy” Spragg, Marle Spragg, Nick Walsh, Seb Huber, Felipe Phil and guest streamer Joe Bold will all broadcast the games simultaneously on their Twitch channels.
Each game carries a $300 buy-in. PokerStars will cover the selected sleeper agents’ entries, allow auto-top-ups and give each player $1,000 in total credit; the players also keep whatever they win. A further $1,000 bonus goes to the player with the most showdown wins using an ace.
The promotion is tied to Ace Chase, which offers $3,000 in daily cash rewards through its leaderboards until the end of November. Players earn points by winning hands containing an ace. After four such wins, they receive a randomized leaderboard score, and can try to improve that score up to 12 times a day.
Ace Chase leaderboards cover stakes from $0.02/$0.05 through $1/$2, so the mission games sit above the regular promotion’s listed leaderboard levels. The cash-game format is fixed at 90 minutes despite the flexibility usually associated with ring games.
To become eligible as a sleeper agent, a player must have belonged to an ambassador’s channel for at least three months. For the Nov. 6 game, eligible players need to record an Ace Chase leaderboard score from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. The qualifying window for the Nov. 21 session is Nov. 14 through Nov. 16.
The five highest eligible leaderboard players who submit their Stars ID through Discord go into a random draw on Spraggy’s Discord channel. Two players are then selected to face the lineup.
