Jesse Lonis won Event No. 3 of the 2026 PGT Sprint, converting a third consecutive final-table appearance into his first title of the series. He earned $101,000 after topping 78 entries in the $5,300 no-limit hold’em event, which created a $390,000 prize pool.

Lonis had finished sixth in Event No. 1 and third in Event No. 2, making $175,350 across the opening three tournaments. The victory was his second of 2026 and his 19th final-table finish of the year. It also represented the 64th six-figure cash of his career and pushed his lifetime tournament earnings beyond $35.2 million.

Lonis entered the seven-handed final table with the chip lead and retained it through the early exits. Natalie Ferguson finished seventh for $15,600, Patrick Leonard took sixth for $19,500, and Lonis eliminated Jim Collopy in fifth when his pocket aces held against A-10.

Brandon Sunshine finished fourth for $37,050 after Sam Laskowitz eliminated him, while Adam Hendrix collected $50,700 in third. Lonis took nearly a 4:1 chip advantage into heads-up play against Laskowitz.

The two finalists agreed to redistribute some of the remaining prize money while continuing for the title and PGT ranking points. Laskowitz received $78,400, and Lonis closed it out with A-clubs-4-clubs against A-spades-6-hearts after the flop came 10-clubs-5-clubs-2-clubs, giving him a flush.

The win earned Lonis 164 PGT points, while his three Sprint results totalled 276 points and moved him into the top 40 of the season-long PGT standings. He also rose to fourth in the Card Player Player of the Year standings, with nearly $5 million in qualifying earnings for the year.

Lonis’s win followed his third WSOP bracelet earlier this month, as we reported.
