- PokerStars will hold $5.50 and $75 progressive-knockout Spooky Sunday Special events on Nov. 1.
- Eliminating Kenny Hallaert earns a $109 Sunday Million Spooky Season Finale ticket, subject to country restrictions.
- The two tournaments guarantee $25,000 and $250,000 respectively.
- Satellites costing from $1.10 to $16.50 offer seats to the $75 event.
PokerStars will run two progressive-knockout Spooky Sunday Special tournaments on Nov. 1, with Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert hosting both and carrying a special prize for the player who eliminates him. The $5.50 Mini Spooky Special guarantees $25,000, while the $75 Spooky Sunday Special has a $250,000 guarantee. Both begin at 6:05 p.m. GMT.
Anyone who knocks out Hallaert in either event receives a $109 ticket for the Sunday Million Spooky Season Finale on Nov. 8. In the $75 tournament, the winner of Hallaert’s bounty also collects the value of his regular bounty. The offer is unavailable in Belgium, Denmark, Germany and Sweden, according to PokerNews.
The ticket grants entry to the $1 million-guaranteed Sunday Million Spooky Season Finale, a $109 progressive knockout and the largest-guarantee tournament on the Spooky Season schedule. As we reported earlier this month, that Halloween-themed series runs through Nov. 11 and includes 94 events.
The lower-buy-in Mini event gives every player 25,000 chips, with blinds beginning at 100/200/25a and rising every 10 minutes. Late registration lasts two and a half hours, and players can make up to five re-entries during that window. Each knockout pays at least a $1.25 bounty.
The $75 edition starts players with 50,000 chips and opens at 125/250/30a. Its blinds increase every 15 minutes for the first 15 levels, then every 12 minutes. Registration remains open for four hours, with up to five entries permitted, while regular bounties start at $12.50.
Players can satellite into the $75 tournament for buy-ins from $1.10 to $16.50. Two $1.10 satellites on Nov. 1, beginning at 3:30 p.m. GMT and 5:18 p.m. GMT, guarantee 10 seats each. A $5.50 satellite at 4:05 p.m. GMT guarantees 75 seats.
The Nov. 8 Sunday Million finale is followed by the final Spooky Season events on Nov. 9, including the $75 Season Wrap-Up and $82 Turbo Epilogue – Last Scream.
